How We Handle Your Information

NeuropathyAnswers.org is a patient-education resource. We collect the minimum information required to operate the site and deliver the email content you request. We do not build profiles of our readers, we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers, and we do not track individuals across sessions or across sites.

What we collect

If you subscribe to one of our email guides, we collect your email address and the preferences you provide at sign-up — specifically, which content track you selected and which page you subscribed from. We do not require your name, phone number, date of birth, or any other personal information to subscribe.

If you use our contact form, we collect your name (which is optional), your email address, and the content of your message.

Our analytics system (Plausible Analytics) collects aggregate, anonymized traffic data: the URL you visited, your approximate country based on IP address (the IP itself is not stored), the type of device and browser you used, and the page you came from if you followed a link to our site. No cookies are set. No persistent identifier of any kind is stored on your device.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your IP address (our analytics provider hashes and discards it without storage). We do not collect your name unless you voluntarily provide it through the contact form. We do not collect any health information. We do not use cookies, pixels, fingerprinting, or any other mechanism to identify individual visitors or to track behavior across sessions. We do not collect payment information; we do not offer any paid products or services.

How we use your information

Your email address is used solely to deliver the email content you requested. Your subscription preferences (track and source page) are used to route you to the correct email sequence and to understand in aggregate which content is reaching its intended audience.

Contact form submissions are read by our editorial team and used only to respond to your message. We do not add contact form submitters to our subscriber list unless they explicitly request it.

Aggregate analytics data is used to understand which pages are most useful to readers and to prioritize future content development. It cannot be used to identify you.

What we do not do with your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for any purpose. We do not share your information with our funder or with any advertiser. We do not use your email address or any other information about you to target you with advertising on any platform.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every email we send. Unsubscribing removes you from all active sequences. Your data is deleted from our email platform within thirty days of unsubscription.

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at privacy@neuropathyanswers.org. We respond within ten business days.

How we secure your information

All data in transit between your browser and this site is encrypted via HTTPS. Subscriber data is held by Beehiiv, our email service provider, which maintains its own security certifications and data protection practices. Contact form data is transmitted via Resend, an email delivery service. We do not operate our own email servers or subscriber databases.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last reviewed” date at the top of this page, note the changes in the next newsletter issue, and preserve the prior version of this page in our internal records for at least two years.
